What is the state of health insurance globally in 2021-2022?<\/h2>\n

For this year’s State of Health Insurance Report, we noted many interesting (but also ongoing) trends and findings from around the world. We learned that healthcare needs continue to grow and that the health insurance industry is experiencing a surge in artificial intelligence (AI) and Big Data innovations. Undoubtedly, both are spurred on by the increased use of telehealth and changing consumer behavior.<\/p>\n

What is the state of health insurance in Hong Kong?<\/h2>\n

Our report goes over a number of findings in Hong Kong that collectively have an impact on the health insurance industry. A major finding was that the COVID-19 pandemic spurred expats to leave the financial hub, influencing the types of plans available and what insurers can provide. And advances in technology meant that people were seeking plans online as behaviors changed. Furthermore, there’s an increased demand for holistic wellness programs by corporations.<\/p>\n

Yuman Chan, General Manager at Bupa Hong Kong, also provided his take on the situation for corporate clients. He said:<\/p>\n
