According to the CDD, these medical conditions are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cancer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chronic kidney diseases<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chronic liver diseases\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chronic lung disease<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dementia or other neurological conditions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diabetes (type 1 or type 2)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Down syndrome<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heart conditions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HIV infection<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mental health conditions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overweight and obesity<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pregnancy<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sickle cell disease or thalassemia<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Smoking, current or former<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solid organ or blood stem cell transplant<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stroke or cerebrovascular disease, which affects blood flow to the brain<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Substance use disorders<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuberculosis<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: This list is presented in alphabetical order and not in order of risk. This may include practicing mindfulness\/meditation, speaking to a therapist, or even seeing a medical professional in serious cases or if the issue persists. Furthermore, these individuals are urged to get vaccinated against COVID-19.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Hong Kong, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.info.gov.hk\/gia\/general\/202110\/27\/P2021102700905.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the government has recommended three doses of vaccine<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">* for certain groups of immunocompromised patients, and noted that the third dose should be administered at least four weeks from the second dose. The government has also recommended a third dose of COVID-19 vaccine to be administered at least six months from the second dose for those who have received two doses of Sinovac vaccine, in particular those with higher risk of infection including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Elderly aged 60 or above<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Healthcare workers\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workers who have increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational setting (personnel participating in anti-epidemic related work, personnel providing cross-boundary transportation or working at control points and ports)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Persons with chronic illnesses.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Biontech vaccine is recommended for \u226512 years of age and Sinovac vaccine for \u226518 years of age.
